Call of Duty: World at War takes the IW franchise back in time. While it is based on the CoD4 gaming engine, CoD WW does not follow its elder brother into modern war – but takes us back to World War II. Call of Duty 2 and 3 were both set during that period of time and this title allows us to start up where those two titles left off.
