California Lifeline offers basic telephone service at discounted rates set by the Public Utilities Commission and provides: • California Lifeline Flat Rate service at $5.99/month ($3.25/month for Measured Rate Service) • There may be a one-time account change charge of $10.00 for current Cox Digital Telephone customers changing from regular service to California Lifeline. • There may be a one-time change charge of $10.00 for California Lifeline customers changing their telephone service from another telephone company to Cox Communications.
