What is caip ?
The Campaign Against Accidental or Illegal Poisoning of Wildlife, operated by CRD on behalf of Defra aims to prevent accidental or illegal pesticide poisoning of animals and wildlife. By promoting best practice, caip aims to ensure legal control measures, especially those involving pesticides, are understood and so avoid poisoning by pesticides of wildlife, livestock or pets. How do I report an incident? Call the UK hotline number: 0800 321600. This is manned during office hours. If the line is busy or your call is out of office hours an answerphone will record your message and you should be contacted within 48 hours. What happens if I report an incident? You will be asked for your name and contact details, the incident location (e.g. address), animals affected and why you suspect pesticides are involved. CAIP stands for Commercial Automobile Insurance Procedure. It is apooling arrangement operated by CAARP, under which most of the large commercial risks (truckers, taxis, buses, etc..) are assigned to a “servicing carrier” (insurance company) for handling. All the insurance companies share the losses and expenses. Therefore, risks requiring higher limits are less of a drain on the assets of any one insurance company.
