What is Cagayan de Oro Aikido Dojo?
The Cagayan de Oro Aikido Dojo is a not-profit organization and is establish on April 1992 by Oscar Mistula. The dojo is form in pursuit of Aikido martial arts excellence. It first opens to the public at the Cagayan de Oro City YMCA with the help of some Aikido students and enthusiasts. It is a member of the Filipino Federation of Aikido, which is a member of IAF (International Aikido Federation). It continues to operate at Clark Hatch Gym at Lim Ket Kai Center, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. Hombu Aikido (Aikikai) style is being practice at the dojo since its inception. Back in year 2000, Oscar introduces Takemusu Aikido (O-Sensei’s Aikido in Iwama, Ibaraki, Japan) style in conjunction with the existing form. The Dojo aims to solely practice the Takemusu Aikido style.
