What is Cabane à Jeux?
Cabane à Jeux, in Wakefield, QC, is a place for local children and families to play and learn, meet each other, and swap resources. All families in the municipality of La Pêche are welcome to attend our events and playgroups and to join the Joujouthèque La Pêche Toy Library. Most of our volunteers can assist you in French or English. Our location Church of the Good Shepherd, 693 Riverside Road, Wakefield, QC. When Cabane à Jeux was first looking for a home, we found a community partner in the Church of the Good Shepherd. They have a wonderful basement facility that is used by several important community groups, including the Boy Scouts, quilting groups and support groups. The Church provided us a space to build our toy library, run our playgroups and events, and meetings. Without their support, we could not have developed these programs for the community at large.
