What is C rating?
This is a rating used for batteries. It is used to specify the level of power at which the battery is rated. i.e. 42 Ah @ C10 would mean that the battery was tested at 4.2 amps for 10 hours. This is also used to show the amount of power drawn in proportion to the battery size. i.e. 1C discharge for a 42Ah battery would be 84A. (2 X C rating). A C2 discharge would be 21A (C rating / 2).
