What is Budesonide?
Budesonide is currently in “beta testing”. It is a steroid that is processed by the liver so that there are less severe side effects. Oral and enema forms are available, depending upon the location of the disease to be treated. Its role compared to the more established steroid agents has yet to be defined. The impression of many is that though it may be safer it may also be less effective.
