What is brief intensive counseling?
Brief intensive counseling is designed to work on focused issues and limited goals that can bring symptom relief, new direction, better self-understanding, and new skill development for better coping. Rather than extended time commitment, the counseling demands intensive commitment over a short period of time. In our case, eight days.
Clients of CrossRoads Counseling meet on a daily basis with their CRC Therapist, working on issues in a concentrated, goal-directed manner that produces a deep “heart shift.” The counseling takes place over a 10-day period: Monday through Friday for two consecutive weeks. The process of healing is accelerated as the individual or couple accesses the root causes of their problems, along with a distinctively Christian perspective that provides new direction and growth. Often the effect is so profound that clients remark that the experience at CRC is equivalent to as much as a year’s worth of traditional counseling.
