What is Boxing Day in Canada?
Boxing day is basically the day where all of the stores have huge sales and everybody goes shopping like crazy. But “back in the day”, it was common for wealthy people to own slaves. On Christmas, the slaves would work and prepare the Christmas meal, and the wealthy would give the slaves the next day off so that the slaves could celebrate christmas. Now it’s all for commercial purposes and is used for sales.
