What is boiler efficiency ?
Boiler efficiency is a generic term that can mean many different things, burner efficiency operational efficiency and so on. So what is need, what is important? The first is stack (flue) temperature: the lower the stack temperature the more energy (heat) we are transferring to the boiler producing steam or hot water. Simply put, the high carbon dioxide readings with little to no carbon monoxide and very small amount of excess oxygen through the entire firing range can indicate good burner control and efficiency. The ration of energy out and energy in is the real deal.
