BES stands for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. BES is most commonly used by large companies. BES offers wireless sync of EMAIL, CALENDAR, MEMOPAD, TASKS, and ADDRESS BOOK. It is not required for individual customers to have BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Every individual customer’s BlackBerry comes with BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS), which can be accessed by going to http://sprint.blackberry.com.
