Bird News Anywhere is a mobile phone service provided by BirdGuides. It allows you to browse through our bird news output on your mobile phone using standard HTML or WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) technology, which is available from most mobile phones and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) supplied in recent years. Using the service is similar to using a web page, in that you move between related pages of information by clicking on links. Because of the limitations of mobile phone handsets, Bird News Anywhere pages are shorter and less interactive than our Bird News Extra service. Like most mobile services, the Bird News Anywhere service is mainly text-based, though photographs are available for handsets able to display them.
