What is BioMed Centrals policy on patient consent?
All manuscripts that include information or clinical photographs relating to individual patients must be accompanied by written and signed consent to publish from each patient. This should be mailed or faxed to the editorial staff. The manuscript should also include a statement to this effect in the Acknowledgements section, as follows: “Written consent was obtained from the patient(s) or their relative(s) for publication of study”.
