What is bio-degradable plastic?
Bio-degradable, recyclable plastics are known in the industry as those with modified or special engineered materials. Some are compostable, meaning it will biodegrade back into simple elements without leaving toxins or pollutants behind. These look, feel and perform like standard plastics, without harming our fragile environment. The FDA has approved these for use in food service items, and are quickly replacing standard plastics.
