What is BIM modeling and lean construction technology?
BIM is building information modeling, a 3-D model where we coordinate all trades prior to construction. It saves rework and field conflicts or hits. Lean construction is a project delivery model where the constructor, subcontractors, owners and design professionals team up early. A: The major challenge for Gilbane and the industry will be the availability of a qualified labor force as the older workforce retires. We all need to work together to encourage younger people to view the construction industry as a career and to continue to develop skilled trades personnel.
