What is bid size on the stock market?
How many shares someone wants to buy, at a certain price. The ask size is how many shares someone wants to sell, at a certain price. There is some information to be gained by looking at the bid size. If the stock usually shows 100, 300, or 500 shares traded at a time, and suddenly, someone shows up trying to buy 100,000 shares, you know a big player is trying to accumulate.
