What is better Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3?
For me I think the Xbox 360 is better. Right now it has a larger selection of games and almost every game you can buy for the PS3 you can also get for the 360. Online gaming on the PS3 is free but the experience on the 360 is much more enjoyable. The 360 has an online movie download rental service. About half of the movie selection is in HD. If you have an HDTV the PS3 might be a better choice. It has a Blu-Ray player built in but it is also more expensive than a 360. You can buy a HD-DVD player add on for the 360.
The answer to your question lies in what you are looking for in the system. If you like First Person shooters, and want a wide variety of games, then you’ll want to get the XBox360. It has been out longer than the PS3, so it has more to choose from. The graphics are not as good as PS3, but that’s because it’s not a blu-ray player too. It is backwards compatible so if you have XBox games, you can play those. If you’re looking for good graphics, a blu-ray player, and good games, then you’ll want the PS3. It does have the added feature of the blu-ray so it has duel functionality. It is backwards compatible with PS1 and PS2 games, so that gives a nice bank of games. However, it hasn’t been out that long so the amount of games for the PS3 are limited. However, there are a lot of really good looking games on the way, such as Final Fantasy 13, and Indiana Jones. This question will probably turn into a bunch of biased answers. First off I do own both systems. The reason I say as of right now the 360 is the better system is the online services are better, even though you do have to pay for them, and the library of games is much larger and better games. Xbox live arcade is well established with some really enjoyable titles on it. Graphics on both are comparable, but it really just comes down to the games. As of right now the ps3 is lacking in good, quality games. However the psn network is starting to pick up some decent little games and the ps3 has a pretty strong showing of games this fall through winter. I do find myself enjoying the ps3 a lot more as of recently because they are finally getting those good titles. Then what my ps3 used to do best, play blu-rays out of the box, which is a really nice feature.
