What is better doing my own Web Site or being a part of an Internet Shopping Mall?
There are advantages and disadvantages. The mall will definitely give you exposure. However, you lose control of your Web pages and how they appear. Also where you are in a mall can effect when you will appear in that mall. If the mall is large, you can be lost. Since a large mall can consist of thousands of pages by the time someone starts browsing the mall they get turned off after the first few pages, limiting the odds of you being seen if you are not high on the list. Having your own Web site gives you control on how it appears. The freedom to change it whenever you want (many malls limit you on how often and when you can change your site, usually monthly on changing your listings and only three or four times before you start getting charged for it). If you are a dealer with a lot of quick turnover of your merchandise and are limited to when you can change your site, it can create problems. If you do not have the merchandise advertised and someone sees this as a constant they start
