It is best to head toward Denton, then get on 82 going towards Gainseville. Once you are in Dennison take the route toward Durant Oklahoma. To get to this part you will notice a Starbucks and gas station to your left, go under the interstate and turn left and get on the interstate headed toward Durant. Stay straight and head for Eufaula, Oklahoma. Once you start crossing Lake Eufaula, watch signs for Stigler, Oklahoma. Take that route all the way straight until you cross into Arkansas ( you will go through major towns in this order: Eufaula, Whitefield, Stigler, Keota, Spiro. The first town you will hit will be Fort Smith. It should take you between 5-6 hours if you avoid rush hour.
