What is best practice for uploading and managing files in the website?
Unity allows effective management of the files that make up your website. As the content on your website grows it is important to utilise the sophisticated features in Unity to make the management of the content easy. Remember, files that are to be used on pages should first be uploaded before constructing a page. File Categorisation Before you start uploading files think about appropriate categorisation for the various file types you will be uploading into the website. You may for instance adopt an internal Council protocol for file categorisation or mirror the navigation found in your website. You can establish top level categories that mirror the top level navigation of your website eg: Events, Publications, Council Services etc and create sub categories that are relevant for your various files eg: under Publications a sub category may be 2004 Council Agendas and 2004 Council Minutes. Confirm these categories as much as possible before you begin uploading your files into the website
