What is best latte/espresso maker (that doesn use those espresso “pods”)?”
There are all types of espresso machines. The best is going to be based on your personal preferences to some extent. I will first share with you my thoughts and then tell you about my wonderful machine. What makes one ‘the best’ is kinda personal. Do you like the idea of doing the pressing and tapping yourself? Do you prefer automated? Do you plan on making tons? Are you experienced with steaming milk? Some of those questions should guide your purchase. Now for my personal option. I have had all types of espresso machines. I wasn’t so into getting the right pounds of pressure and tapping the espresso. I really never used these machines. It wasn’t until I got my DeLonghi Magnifica that I really got into making espresso. Now I make it every day and rarely go anywhere for coffee. It is super easy to use and very automated.
