What is Belgium Blue Gigantic Cattle?
Belgium Blues are a type of cattle that have been bred to be “double muscled.” They are a natural mutation of cow, encouraged by breeders, to have double the muscle of a regular cow. Basically they look like a bull on a heeping dose of steroids, the body-builders of the bovine world. This characteristic was encouraged because it doubles meat production. However, moderation might be a good thing to consider because some of these cows grow so heavy and so fast their legs can actually break under their own weight. I suppose that’s where the controversy comes in… Still they’re an impressive sight and unlike most people think they weren’t created in a laboratory but are a natural spontanious mutation.
