What is being done in Central Oregon to encourage the development of alternative energy?
Several organizations, businesses and agencies are working proactively to develop an alternative energy cluster throughout Oregon with emphasis on Central Oregon. One such project is (BASE) the Business Alliance for Sustainable Energy. This project is designed to accelerate the development of the emerging renewable and efficient energy cluster in the Central Oregon Corridor. These “sustainable energy” sectors show great promise to develop family-wage, meaningful employment in rural and urban communities.
