Behavior based safety” refers to a wide range of programs which focus almost entirely on changing the behavior of workers to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses. They use a system of observations to retrain workers to produce the desired change in behavior. Behavior Based Safety is somewhat controversial, but it does tend to produce results if implemented correctly.
