What is Beer Pong?

0

Beer Pong is the coalition of many different types of games which have been played over many decades originating on college campuses everywhere. The name of the game may differ depending on where you live. The three most commonly used names are “ruit”, “beirut”, or “Beer Pong”. Beer Pong is usually played on a 6’ to 10’ table, however, it is widely accepted that a “Regulation Beer Pong Table” is 8’. This is because back in the day in order to make a table, the college elite would go to their local hardware store and purchase a piece of plywood or particle board, and the largest size they carried was 8’. On either end of this table is placed a cluster of cups usually arranged in a triangle or pyramid. This cluster can consist of between 6 and 10 cups again depending on where you play. These cups are usually filled 1/3 to 1/4 full with beer or a beverage of choice. Teams of two stand on each end of the table and try to toss two ping pong balls into the cups at the opposite end of the tab
