What is Baxters dividend policy?
Beginning in 2007, Baxter changed the dividend payment schedule from an annual dividend of $0.582 per share of Baxter common stock to a quarterly dividend rate of $0.15 per share, which on an annual basis represented a 3 percent increase over the annual dividend rate. Baxter increased the quarterly dividend rate by 30% in late 2007 and by an additional 20% in late 2008. In November of 2009, Baxter again increased its dividend rate by approximately 12% over the previous quarterly rate. The current quarterly dividend rate is $0.29 per share of Baxter common stock.
