What is baptism like at Calvary?
Water Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. It is a symbolic act and a visual depiction of the invisible work of salvation, which takes place when a person receives, by faith, Jesus Christ as Savior. The practice of Water Baptism is also a public testimony signifying the death of the person’s sinful nature, and the new birth they have experienced in Christ. It is an important event in the life of the believer, confirming the transforming power of the Gospel. (Romans 6:4) If a person wants to be baptized in water they need to call the church office at 630-851-7000 to find out the schedule. Anyone wanting to be baptized will also be required to attend an orientation meeting.
