What is balanced braking?
Balanced braking simply means that ToadStop applies only enough pressure to the towed brake pedal to bring the vehicle to a halt. You do the same thing every time you stop your vehicle when youre driving. In fact, you never use extreme pressure to stop your vehicle when driving, and you never push past the stop of the vehicle. To push past the stop, would put unnecessary pressure on the hydraulic fluid to the brake calipers and brake cylinders, which is detrimental to the brake system.
