A Balance Transfer is simply a transfer of a balance from one credit card to another. For example, you can transfer a balance you owe on a competition credit card to your American Express® E Credit Card account. When you request a balance transfer, we pay off the amount of the balance you have indicated you wish to pay on your other card.
