What Is Background Intelligent Transfer Service?
The bits service starts and runs fine. But when I try to stop it, i get error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. The dependancies are workstation and rpc, and it is bits 2.0. When I get the 1053 error, the service remains as “stopping” until I restart the machine. Any ideas how to resolve this. It also does this if i uninstall the update for this too…
