Genesis uses several DOT lines to route orders to the NYSE and AMEX for redundancy purposes. If one line goes down, traders have access to another one. Different letters or abbreviations stand for the dot – line used. Genesis will usually recommend and/or set a default DOT line for you (the one Genesis feels with deliver the best results), but the traders can chose a different line as well.
