What is AstraZeneca’s approval process for contributions?
Non-profit organizations must have a 501c tax-exempt status and be in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) before they can be approved for funding. Internally, we have a multi-tiered review and approval process, depending on the complexity of the request. Priority is given to requests that focus on diseases or conditions relevant to the therapeutic areas where AstraZeneca has expertise and where we can make a meaningful difference to the health of patients in local communities. Having a positive impact on a community’s health is a core decisive factor for the company’s charitable giving and community support.
