What is Associational Linkage?
John Klingbeil said, “When you think it, you link it.” Associational Linkage is mental bonding, the conscious or unconscious connection of one’s thought to another thought, person, or thing. Quantum physics calls it entanglement. Prayer and psychic phenomena are potentially present everywhere. Paying attention triggers a relationship between a healer and a healee, a husband and a wife, a person and a garden, a pet, a song, a race car, something with meaning. (A Journey Into Prayer, pages 43 and 249.) The human mind is entangled to what is familiar. The more attention and love for the object of prayer, the stronger becomes the associational linkage. Being familiar and giving attention creates a meaning for us. Our subconscious mind is attentive and links to meaning. When we have a need that is entangled to a meaning, a spark of action takes place.
