What is Assisted Embryo Hatching (AH) and Embryo Defragmentation?
One of the strategies used to increase the potential of fragmented embryos is to make a hole in the zone pellucida of the embryo. This is done through the use of chemicals (tyrodes acid), mechanical agents (micropipettes) or laser. We then pick up the maximum number of cell fragments. This technique is called Embryo Defragmentation.
