What is Aspergers?
Asperger’s is conceptualized as being part of what is called the ‘autism spectrum disorders.’ Some people call Asperger’s ‘high functioning autism’ while others think they are not quite the same. There is also some debate if Asperger’s and non-verbal learning disability (NVLD, which is discussed elsewhere on this page) are different names for the same problem, or if they have some subtle differences.
