What is arena football league?
Like they’ve said, its indoor football…the field is actually only 1/4 the size of an NFL field, half as long and half as wide. The uprights on the goalposts are also really close together since the kicks are always short. Its only 7 players on a side, instead of 11 in the NFL. You can snap the ball with players in motion on offense. The game is designed to be faster, quicker-scoring, more “exciting”, a little more “playground” feel to it. Less emphasis on the run, more emphasis on passing. It also serves as a kind of NFL development league, since there isnt minor-league football like baseball has, or lower-tier leagues like in European soccer. Players that arent quite good enough for the NFL have gone to the AFL (or the CFL sometimes) and improved their games, and then made it in the NFL. Kurt Warner, who’s having an MVP season this year, played in the AFL for a few seasons.
