What is apropriate for formal wear on an alaskan cruise in july?

Trust me, Alaska in July on a cruise won’t be cold. They are experiencing temps in the 80’s right now. Try a cocktail dress or opt for a long formal gown. It does matter if you are going to celebrate formal night. The capt, crew and most others will be dressed up. I have seen extremely formal with ball gowns and I have seen cocktail dresses. Be forewarned though, the ships, even though they are in Alaska, will have the air conditioner on inside the ship and you will need some kind of wrap – either a shoulder wrap, scarf or sweater to keep from freezing indoors. Sometimes it seems colder inside than out.
