What is Applera Corporation?
Applera Corporation was incorporated in Delaware in 1998 and succeeded by recapitalization to the business of PE Corporation (NY) (formerly The Perkin-Elmer Corporation) in May 1999. Applera conducts its business through two operating groups: the Applied Biosystems group and the Celera group. Applera has two classes of stock, Applera-Applied Biosystems stock and Applera-Celera stock that are intended to reflect the relative performance of these groups. Back to Top2.
