What is Anderson doing about Ancor development?
Ancor refers to the large area in the north of the township zoned Industrial Development. The primary impediments to development are the sluggish economy and needed infrastructure. Access roads and sewer are required. The sewer issues are being addressed by MSD and should be completed in a few years. The access road problems are twofold. First, Roundbottom Road should be upgraded and this is being investigated by the Hamilton County Engineer’s office. More importantly, the Ancor Connector Road , which is to run from State Route 32 to Broadwell Road is in the planning and design phase. Most of the right of way issues that have held up construction have been solved and Anderson has set aside its portion of the money. It is anticipated that progress will continue in 2010. Obviously, Anderson cooperates fully with all the agencies and has a seat at the table with OKI, a major influence on the Eastern Corridor Project. Anderson also participates with the County Engineer in the Planning for
