A. Tumwater s Comprehensive Plan is made up of several “elements” or plans. These include the Land Use Plan, Housing Plan, Parks & Recreation Plan, Capital Facilities Plan, Joint Plan, Transportation Plan, Economic Development Plan, Conservation Plan, Utilities Plan, and Lands for Public Purposes/Essential Public Facilities Plan. Also included as part of the Comprehensive Plan, but under separate cover, is the Tumwater Shoreline Master Program which includes the Deschutes Riparian Plan, Deschutes River Special Area Management Plan for Tumwater Valley, New Market Historic District Master Plan and the Shoreline Master Program for the Thurston Region. These plans can be explained and ordered, for a fee, by calling Tumwater s Planning and Facilities Department at 360-754-4210.
