An underground line basically what every person goes through that has pledged after 1990. Back in the 80’s before above ground pledging was banned. When you were on line everyone knew who was pledging. Now it’s more less a secret. An underground line can exist one of two ways: (1) Is whena chapter is suspended, but they pick up a line off the record. But an underground line usually warrants trouble and confusion. For the process in null & void in the eyes of nationals. To them you don’t exist if you were on an underground pledge line. (2) Underground is and can also be, when you are pledging but no one has a clue of what organization you’re pledging andthere’s no apparent knowledge of what is going on until you come up.
