What is an SOV?
A single-occupancy-vehicle, is any automobile occupied by only one passenger, the driver. When people drive alone, especially during the morning or evening rush-hour, traffic congestion is at its worst. Instead of incurring the expense, and enduring the stress of driving alone, travelers can choose to carpool with 2 or more passengers. This reduces traffic congestion, reduces vehicle emissions that cause air pollution, reduces stress, and saves money.
