What is an RNAV REQUEST PULSE?
An RNAV REQUEST PULSE is a timing pulse issued from a master indicator to request DME tuning information/data from a tuning source such as a KX 165. When the KX 165 detects a low on the DME common line that is incident with a low on the RNAV REQUEST line it will output DME tuning data. There can be only one master indicator. Otherwise the pulses would not be synchronized and data would be inhibited or incoherent.
