An orthographic drawing is generally a 2 dimensional drawing in the XY plane (a detail drawing with dimensions). An isometric drawing is a 3 dimensoinal picture that shows 3 sides of a part. An isometric drawing is genreally drawn in a position as if looking at something from the right side and the drawing angle is 30 degrees (lower left upward to the right).
