What is an Online or Online/Hybrid Course?
100% online courses are defined by the college as: Online courses are ones in which there is no regularly scheduled class time requirement for a student to be on-campus. Online courses use ANGEL to deliver course content online. Although there is no set time that a student needs to be online for an online course students need to keep up with coursework weekly as these courses are NOT self-paced. Online instructors will follow a syllabus and set deadlines. It’s up to the student to meet course requirements for assignments, readings and exams. Students in Online course should have existing computer skills or the ability to acquire such skills. Online/Hybrid course are defined by the college as: A Lecture/Internet or An Online/Hybrid course is one in which regularly scheduled classroom time is replaced a portion of the time with online course work and activities using ANGEL. This is a good option for students new to online learning or students who prefer a more structured learning environ
