What is an Online Auction?
An online auction functions just like the ones held at the old time auction houses. An item is put up for auction for an allotted amount of time and the buyers will then bid on the item of their choice until the auction is over HOW DO THE ONLINE AUCTION SITES WORK? As a registered member of an auction site, you list an item for sale within one of the auction site’s categories. The member then writes a description of the item and attaches a picture of the item to the auction, its duration, and the opening price. Next, potential buyers will bid on the item electronically. WWA Online Auction is an exclusively Internet Auction. There is no live Auction day to attend and only Bids placed on the internet are accepted. The Online system is designed to facilitate the transfer of assets, from Seller to Buyer, in the quickest, simplest, most cost efficient manner possible. Online Auctions are extended Auctions where equipment is available for longer periods of time, up to 3 weeks, before the Auction Close. This gives Buyers more time to ask specific questions about the equipment and more flexibility to make travel arrangements for on-site inspections.
