What is an Odin Account?
Odin is the name for PSU computer user accounts. With an active Odin account PSU faculty, staff and students have access to a variety of computing resources at PSU including (but not limited to) a PSU email address and Webmail, access to WebCT, access to online library resources, and the ability dial-up to the PSU modem pool. Students who are registered for credit courses may create their own Odin accounts. To do so, they must go to the following website: http://www.account.pdx.edu and follow the instructions for setting up their account. If students need access to WebCT courses, they simply need to create their accounts (their account does not need to be activated – see below for a description of account activation.) The step-by-step process for setting up an Odin account has a fourth step that informs students that they need to do certain things to have their accounts activated. This step described on that web page is not necessary for students in ES-sponsored programs and courses.
