What is an Occupational Sub-Group and how may I use it?
The code indicating the subcategory code of the federal occupation code for the job title code (e.g., DA, DB, BF, BG, BH). (Federal occupation code values are the same as the first character of the federal occupation subcategory code. Federal occupation codes are A=officials & managers, B=professionals, C=technicians and sales, D=office & clerical, E=skilled crafts, F=operatives (semi-skilled), G=laborers (unskilled), H=service workers). A user could perform a search on a particular Occupational Sub-Group to see all of the titles with similar occupational skill sets.
