What is an OBD II diagnostic port and where is it located?
A2. All cars manufactured since 1996 have a small diagnostic port called an OBD II connector. The OBD II connector is generally within three feet of the steering wheel, often in the area right above the brake and gas pedals (click here to find the location of the OBDII port in your vehicle). The OBD II connector has historically been used to test emissions and diagnose engine problems. The Autograph device easily plugs into this OBD II connector port (some exclusions apply).
