What is an NPQH placement?
An NPQH placement will make a significant contribution to your leadership development by providing you with the opportunity to gain insights into an unfamiliar context and experience different leadership styles. You will spend a minimum of 5 days and a maximum of 20 days in a school contributing to a school activity or task. The length of the placement will depend on the nature of your development needs, the activity agreed and the circumstances of your school and the National College leadership development school. As the majority of trainee headteachers are working in schools they already have significant experience so are likely to be undertaking placements of between 5 and 10 days.
